Life is like a cup of Hot Chocolate
A group of graduates, well established in their careers, were talking at a reunion and decided to go visit their old university professor, now retired. During their visit, the conversation turned to complaints about stress in their work and lives. Offering his guests hot chocolate, the professor went into the kitchen and returned with a large pot of hot chocolate and an assortment of cups - porcelain, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to the hot chocolate. When they all had a cup of hot chocolate in hand, the professor said: "Notice that all the nice looking, expensive cups were taken, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress. The cup that you're drinking from adds nothing to the quality of the hot chocolate. In most cases it is just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink. What all of you really wanted was hot chocolate, not the cup; but you consciously went for the best cups... And then you began eyeing each other's cups. Now consider this: Life is the hot chocolate; your job, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain life. The cup you have does not define, nor change the quality of life you have. Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the hot chocolate God has provided us. God makes the hot chocolate, man chooses the cups. The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything that they have. Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. And enjoy your hot chocolate.

New Toy
Not much has been happening at our end of the world. Kinda boring I'd say. Saturday afternoon Moyd and I took a road trip to RC Willey and purchased this wonderful new vacuum. Its a Dyson DC17. Looks like a robot to me...wish it would do ALL of my housework!
Last weekend Moyd built me a new wooden arbor to replace the white metal arch outside. Will post a pic of it when I take one of it. Hopefully my CLEMATIS will grow up it better.

Our (or should I say Moyd's) newest project in the house, is going to be... putting tile down in the entry-way. Yay...we are getting rid of the wood! I couldn't find a pic of it from Home Depot website but will post a pic when it is completed.
I am excited for the new job position I have at work. Office work is so much fun...I do miss seeing SOME of my clients on a daily basis...but change is good! Also looking forward to SPRING/SUMMER...FLOWERS...MOWING the GRASS...PICNICS...GRANDKIDS BALL GAMES...JUST ENJOYING THE SUN.

Friday the 13th
As I was leaving for work the morning of Friday the 13th, I happened to look out the window and seen how pretty the trees looked...they were all covered in frost. You can't see the frost too well in this pic but I thought it was pretty the way the sun was shining through the tree. By the way...this pic was taken with my new cell phone!

The Birthday Clock
Check this out...its pretty cool!
BIRTHDAY CLOCK
It tells you how many hours and how many seconds you have been alive , what song was number one, who was in office, the cost of goods, and a bunch of other great stuff including when you were probably conceived. How cool is that? After you've finished reading the info, click again, and see what the moon looked like the night you were born. This is pretty interesting.

Grandkids visit
'Rinzy Mae and Bubba' spent Christmas weekend with us. We had a great time with them. Jason, Julie and family were going to visit the same weekend but due to bad weather they postponed their visit. We missed you but are looking forward to seeing you guys soon!!!
Moyd's brother pulling the kids with his 4-wheeler
The kids received 22's from Santa so they brought them and we took them shooting. Man, they are dead-eye shooters. Watch out deer when they start hunting!!! The pop-can had lots of holes in it.
Moyd and Brewster...Brewster kept getting high-centered in the snow.
